We have one of the most beautiful bike trails in the country on Scenic Highway 98. This bike trail offers gorgeous views of The Gulf Of Mexico as well as many places to dine and shop along the way. The trail is five miles long and starts in Destin Florida in Okaloosa County and stretches all the way to Miramar Beach in Walton County.
Destin & Miramar Beaches
Biking is the preferred method of travel in our little piece of Paradise and there are many places you can stop off, park the bike and explore the most unique beaches in the world. While traveling along this route, you will find many public beach accesses where you can stop to relax and enjoy the water. As we mentioned, there are many public beach access areas for you to enjoy along this bike trail.
June White Decker Public Beach Park has bike parking as well as public restroom facilities. Adjacent to that access is Calhoun Beach Access which also offers public parking as well as public restrooms. Silver Shells Beach Public Access is located near to Calhoun and June White. Henderson State Park is one of the more popular beach accesses. This park offers lots of amenities but does require an entry fee.
Shopping & Entertainment
There is no shortage of places along Scenic Hwy 98 to stop for a bit to eat, shop for some cool stuff, and even see live music. The Crab Trap is right on the beach, offering local seafood and a family friendly atmosphere. Closer to Miramar Beach on Scenic Hwy 98, The Whales Tail across the road from SeaScape resort offers beachfront dining and a full bar.
